According to Forbes business correspondent Eleanor Terrett, the Republican group in the U.S. House of Representatives hosted a "cryptocurrency luncheon" this afternoon to discuss digital asset policy initiatives and legislation.
The meeting was attended by politicians such as Republican Whip Tom Emmer and Representative Bryan Steil, as well as representatives from various institutions in the crypto industry. Industry organizations attending the meeting included the Digital Chamber and the Blockchain Association, and business representatives from well-known cryptocurrency and blockchain companies such as Paradigm, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), CoinFlip, Coinbase, Anchorage, and Digital Currency Group (DCG).
