The CEO of Metaplanet has called on Japan to follow the United States in establishing bitcoin reserves, and its bitcoin yield has reached 45.1% this year.

On March 9, Simon Gerovich, CEO of Japanese listed company Metaplanet, called on Japan to follow the United States in establishing bitcoin reserves and turn Japan into a "global bitcoin superpower" on the X platform. He revealed that the company has achieved a 45.1% bitcoin yield so far in 2025. Its bitcoin acquisition price is about $240.20 million, and the average acquisition price is about $83,172. Simon Gerovich added: "Every day I worry about not having enough bitcoins because the window to buy bitcoins won't be open forever, and soon there will be two kinds of people: those who own bitcoins and those who regret not buying bitcoins. Metaplanet is accumulating as many bitcoins as possible so shareholders can rest assured."
