Nate Geraci, president of The ETF Store, said on social media that BlackRock acquired asset/private market data provider Preqin, seeking to use the data to eventually create an ETF. According to the Financial Times, financial data company Preqin is considering selling for more than $1 billion, and companies such as S & P Global and BlackRock are seeking to acquire Preqin.
