The SEC Commissioner has called for an update of the S-1 form to better accommodate the unique nature of cryptocurrencies
Alexander Grieve, head of government relations at venture capital firm Paradigm, posted on social media that today, Securities Exchange Commission Commissioner Mark Uyeda issued a statement on the registration rules for index-linked annuities and registered market-adjusted annuities. In a footnote, he called for the S-1 form to be updated to better accommodate the unique nature of cryptocurrencies.
This is the first time Uyeda has publicly called for a tailored disclosure regime for crypto assets. If it were a different regulator, the Securities Exchange Commission would be a very different place.
