DIN founder: Agree with Victor Ji, Polka is unfair to Asian projects
On July 2nd, Harold Yu X, founder of DIN (formerly Web3Go, a polka ecosystem data analysis platform), wrote that he agreed with Victor Ji, co-founder of Manta Network, that as an Asian-led project, it is quite difficult to build in the polka ecosystem.
Mr. Harold adds: "There are a lot of extra issues you have to deal with and work through - politics, relationships, coterie. I remember the Web3 event in Hong Kong in 2023, when Polka didn't have any official events, so I applied for a $10,000 grant on behalf of the community. The application process was too painful, the reporting requirements were too cumbersome, and I didn't want to go through it again. But at the same time, I've seen a lot of projects from Europe and the US easily get hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars in funding, which is very unfair."
