Ethereum DApp transaction volume surged 83%, but was mainly driven by a single application
The decentralized application (DApp) transaction volume of the Ethereum network has recently surged by 83%, but 59.5% of this is from the single application Balancer. Despite the increase in overall transaction volume, the number of active users of Ethereum decreased by 8%, and the total lock value (TVL) also decreased by 17.5%.
This increase is not in line with trends in the rest of the crypto market, and excluding Balancer's contribution, Ethereum's trading volume actually fell by 5%. This anomaly suggests that further analysis is needed to understand the real demand and potential manipulation behind the increase in trading volume.
