Previously, Sefcovic said on the same day that the first part of the European Union's tariffs on the United States are scheduled to start on April 15, and the second part of the tariffs are scheduled to start on May 15. Sefcovic said that European Union member states will vote on countermeasures against US steel and aluminum tariffs on April 9. If the vote is passed, the two parts of the European Union's tariffs on the United States will be imposed on April 15 and May 15 respectively.
