Fed to release annual bank stress testing results on June 27
The Federal Reserve will release the results of its annual bank stress testing, which covers 32 banks with assets of $100 billion or more, at 4:30 p.m. on June 26 (4:30 a.m. Beijing time the next day). The Fed said in its statement on Thursday that the hypothetical scenario included a severe global recession and pressure on commercial and residential real estate markets. The Fed will also include the "aggregate results" of its first exploratory analysis, a tool that measures whether banks have enough capital to absorb losses to lend to households and businesses in a severe recession, but that part will not affect banks' capital base requirements.
