A 3-year-old boy in Hong Kong was taken away with a towel over his mouth in a shopping mall in Tseung Kwan O Plaza, and was later extorted for 660,000 USDT. It is reported that the police's Organised Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB, commonly known as O Kee) officers took over the investigation. A large number of detectives searched for surveillance and investigated the whereabouts of the kidnappers in shopping malls and shops in and around Tseung Kwan O Plaza late on July 3.
Police received a report at about 4:30 pm yesterday that a 3-year-old boy was forcibly taken away in Tseung Kwan O District. At about 5:25 am today, the boy was successfully rescued in Tseung Kwan O District and two persons were arrested.
