Meme Coin, which is seen as the preferred candidate to succeed Biden, Harris, has experienced a surge
On July 4th, due to Joe Biden's poor performance in the debate with Donald Trump and facing increasing pressure to withdraw from the presidential race, Kamala Harris-themed Meme Coin has risen by nearly 250% since last Thursday.
Kamala Horris (KAMA) has grown from $3.50 million at the time of the debate on June 27 to nearly $11.90 million, according to Dex Screener, although it has fallen from its $22.20 million peak on July 3. KAMA peaked at more than 2 cents on July 3 and is currently trading at just over 1 cent. The token, a deliberately misspelled Solana token, is marketed as a poorly drawn cartoon of the US vice president.
Reuters reported on July 3, citing seven senior sources from the Biden campaign, the White House and the Democratic National Committee, that Harris is the preferred candidate to succeed Biden if he drops his bid for re-election. Meanwhile, a similarly misspelled Meme coin for President Biden, Jeo Boden (BODEN), has fallen more than 22 percent in the past day and 73.4 percent this week, according to CoinGecko.
