Russian logistics firm calls on government to legalize cryptocurrency cross-border transfers
On April 11, Russian logistics company ETE Group submitted a request to Prime Minister Mishustin, calling on the government to develop a legal framework for businesses to use cryptocurrencies for international settlements. ETE Group proposed amending the Civil Code, the Tax Code, and other relevant foreign exchange regulatory laws to give crypto assets legal status and establish standard procedures for their issuance, circulation, and accounting treatment. ETE noted that interest in crypto payments by Russian businesses has increased by about 40 percent since 2024.
