The mayor of Vancouver is evaluating the conversion of some of the city's financial reserves to bitcoin
On April 12, according to PRpeak, Ken Sim, the mayor of Vancouver, Canada, recently delivered a keynote speech at the event, saying that he will continue to promote Vancouver as a bitcoin-friendly city. He is currently waiting for a report from the city staff to confirm the integration of digital currencies into the financial strategy and system of the city of Vancouver, including but not limited to accepting bitcoin to pay taxes and fees, and converting part of the city's fiscal reserves into bitcoin to maintain purchasing power and protect against the volatility, devaluation and inflationary pressures of traditional currencies.
