The first criminal trial of former South Korean President Yoon Seok-hyuk is scheduled for next week, court officials revealed on Sunday, according to Yonhap News Agency. The Seoul Central District Court is scheduled to begin hearing Yoon Seok-hyuk's rebellion charges at 10 a.m. local time (9 a.m. Beijing time) on Monday. As a defendant, Yoon Seok-hyuk must attend the trial. Prosecutors will file charges against Yoon Seok-hyuk, which is expected to be denied. If convicted of leading the rebellion, Yoon Seok-hyuk could face life in prison or the death penalty. (Jin Ten)
