Ethereum Latest Conference: Pectra's Devnet-1 Expected to Realize in the Next Week or Two

On July 5th, according to the summary of the 191st Ethereum Execution Layer Core Developer Conference (ACDE) shared on the Ethereum Forum, the meeting discussed the Pectra update, as well as multiple proposals such as EIP-7212. 1. Regarding the Pectra update, we are waiting for more client side to be ready before launching Devnet-1, but it is expected to be implemented in the next week or two, and the new update of EIP-7702 will be introduced on Devnet-2. 2. The EIP-7212 proposal is supported, and there is a question of whether to officially include it in Pectra, but a decision will be made until the next ACDE; the proposal brings many good user experience improvements in key/wallet management, and adopts a widely supported encryption curve. 3. The meeting also discussed a proposal to add events to pre-deployed system contracts for cross-layer communication with EIP-7002 and EIP-7251. It was agreed that this change was meaningful and that the corresponding contracts would be updated. 4. The meeting called for the deactivation of EIP-158 2 to simplify the impact of deploying EIP-7702 and Verkle migration; this proposal is no longer necessary in light of the latest update to 7702. 5. The final meeting discussed progress made on other protocol improvements, such as history expiration and changes to blob memory pools to simplify the way users like rollup use blobs; there were calls for more regular updates on the progress of EIP-4444 and for rollup and customers to take various measures to handle the flow from blob producers to on-chain blob incorporation more intelligently.
