R/datadao partners with ORA and Vana to launch the first user-owned decentralized AI model
On July 10, Reddit Data DAO r/datadao announced a partnership with ORA and Vana to release a decentralized AI model $RLM (Reddit Language Model) trained on user data and jointly owned by users in the third quarter of 2024.
It is reported that r/datadao has previously aggregated a large amount of data voluntarily provided by Reddit users and used Vana's infrastructure to securely store the data on-chain. By partnering with ORA, r/datadao will be able to leverage ORA's on-chain AI oracle framework (OAO) to build and deploy $RLM in a secure environment and raise funds through an initial model offering (IMO).
An early version of $RLM, co-developed by a former Google machine learning engineer, has shown remarkable performance in capturing the tone and mood of Reddit users. R/datadao believes they can build on this to develop a chat model for predicting how Reddit users will react to posts on different topics. The decentralized social platform Common.xyz plans to use the model to allow users to simulate the responses a post might receive.
