On the GOP 2024 platform, released ahead of this year's federal election, the party laid out a policy focused on protecting bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, promising to end a crackdown deemed illegitimate and inconsistent with American values. The GOP 2024 platform makes clear its commitment to supporting economic innovation, including the crypto industry. In chapter 3 of the platform, Republicans pledged to "build the largest economy in history" by supporting innovation. The Republicans quoted Crypto Potato as saying that they would end their crackdown on unauthorised and un-American cryptocurrencies and oppose the creation of a CBDC.
