Telegram CEO Predicts Hamster Kombat Will Attract Millions to Blockchain
Telegram founder Pavel Durov discussed the popularity of the Hamster Kombat phenomenon. Durov said that Hamster Kombat, a click-to-make game in which players take on the role of hamsters of cryptocurrency exchange CEOs, has attracted 239 million users in just three months since its launch.
The game takes advantage of the Mini Program agreement launched by Telegram in 2020. However, it has only recently begun to gain traction with the launch of click-to-make projects such as Notcoin and the aforementioned Hamster Kombat. Durov stressed that the popularity of Hamster Kombat has allowed the project to attract 100 million users in just 73 days. He revealed that four to five million users join the game every day, making it "the fastest growing digital service in the world".
