SBI Digital Markets appoints Jai Yung Byun to expand business in South Korea
SBI Digital Markets, the cryptocurrency arm of Japanese securities and banking giant SBI Holdings, has appointed a former South Korean bank official as lead advisor to expand its presence in South Korea.
The company announced on Wednesday the appointment of Jai Yung Byun, who has held various leadership positions at the Bank of Korea. He has led the central bank's international policy planning and foreign exchange analysis. Byun also served as the chief representative of the Bank of Korea's Washington, D.C. representative office.
