The betting market believes that Biden has less than a 50% chance of winning the presidential nomination.
Mr. Biden's speech at the Nato summit did not entirely quell questions about his health, and now there is new pressure. His betting odds have also dropped, with the betting website PredictIt showing that he has less than a 50% chance of winning the Democratic presidential nomination. The main catalyst for the decline in his nomination odds appears to have come from two figures. One is that former House Speaker Pelosi did not explicitly support Biden. As an "old player", Pelosi may know where the wind is going. The second was an opinion piece in The New York Times by George Clooney, the Hollywood actor and longtime Democratic top gifter: "The Joe Biden who was with me at the fundraiser three weeks ago is not the great Joe Biden of 2010, he's not even the Joe Biden of 2020. He's the guy we saw at the debates. With this president, we're not going to win in November."
