Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The so-called "Act to Promote the Settlement of Tibetan-Chinese Disputes" violates the consistent position and commitment of the US government, violates the basic norms of international relations, grossly interferes in China's internal affairs, seriously damages China's interests, and sends a serious wrong signal to the "Tibetan independence" forces. China firmly opposes this and has lodged stern representations with the US.
