Bithumb once again plans to change its real-name account cooperative bank from NHNonghyupBank to KBKookminBank.
Bithumb is pressing ahead again with plans to convert its real-name account partner bank from NH Bank to KB Kookmin Bank. The move is aimed at diversifying its customer base and narrowing the share gap with South Korea's largest exchange, Upbit. Since 2018, Bithumb has signed a contract with Nonghyup Bank to issue real-name accounts, with a contract renewal every six months or a year. In March this year, after the deal with Kookmin Bank failed, Bithumb also signed a six-month contract renewal contract with Nonghyup Bank. Industry insiders believe that compared to March, the deal is more likely to be finalized this time.
