Ava Labs founder: Agree with Vitalik, political votes should not depend on candidates' cryptocurrency stance
On July 18th, in response to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin's latest remarks "against making political votes based on whether or not to support cryptocurrencies", Emin Gün Sirer, founder and CEO of Ava Labs, commented on X: "I agree with Vitalik: our choices must be based on principled reasons related to the candidate's personal freedom stance. In order to win elections, the ostensible support position (for cryptocurrencies, etc.) continues to change, but sooner or later politicians will return to their true inner selves. But there are more dimensions to principle than personal freedom and authoritarianism."
Earlier today, it was reported that the founder of Cardano refuted Vitalik's remarks, saying that when cryptocurrencies cannot stay away from politics, they should vote for a more supportive side.
