According to the updated data on the official website of the Hong Kong Securities Supervision Commission, the application for a virtual asset trading platform license submitted by HKX to the Hong Kong Securities Supervision Commission has been withdrawn on July 17. The relevant information shows that the company name of the virtual asset trading platform operator submitted by HKX is "hi5 (Hong Kong) Limited", and the Chinese name is not applicable. OKX first submitted an application for a virtual asset trading platform license to the Hong Kong Securities Supervision Commission on February 29, 2024. So far, the Hong Kong Securities Supervision Commission has announced that the number of applicants for virtual asset trading platform licenses has been withdrawn and returned is 12, of which 1 has been returned; the number of virtual asset trading platform applications is 16, of which 11 are considered as licensed virtual asset trading platform applicants; the list of licensed virtual asset trading platforms is still 2.
