On July 18, Ankr announced that it has partnered with Botanix Labs to create Bitcoin L2 Spiderchain using Ankr and Aspher Asphere custom services, with the aim of bringing smart contract capabilities to the Bitcoin network. It is reported that Spiderchain will extend the functionality of the Bitcoin network while maintaining its core advantages of security and decentralization.
