Quicknode VP: ZK Rollups is a foundational technology, not a passing fad
Josh Neuroth, vice president of products at Quicknode, a developer of Web3, said that since ZK Rollup offers tangible benefits in terms of transaction throughput and data privacy, these L2 solutions are more of a foundational technology than a passing fad. Additionally, as the technology behind these L2 solutions matures and more projects adopt them, the Web3 space could see lasting improvements in blockchain performance and user experience.
At the same time, Neuroth says he agrees with bitcoin extremist David Sorey that ZK Rollups is a missing piece of the puzzle in terms of scalability and privacy for the Bitcoin network, explaining that ZK Rollups ultimately "help Bitcoin overcome its current limitations and compete with other blockchain networks that offer advanced features".
