Analysts: grey release of large-scale Ethereum ETF outflows may subside this week
Mads Eberhardt, a senior analyst at Steno Research, said that the large-scale outflow of funds from the grey release Ethereum ETF may subside this week. Mads Eberhardt pointed out that referring to the previous grey release Bitcoin ETF, the outflow of funds decreased significantly after the 11th trading day. Since the outflow of funds from the grey release Ethereum ETF is much higher relative to AUM (asset size under management), the peak of capital outflow will occur sometime this week, and the outflow may slow down once the peak is passed.
Mads Eberhardt added that outflows from the Bitcoin ETF bottomed out on the seventh trading day, and the bottom occurred when the cumulative GBTC outflows reached 13.2% of the original fund, after which the bitcoin price rose by about 92% in 50 days. In contrast, the grey release Ethereum ETF outflows were much faster than GBTC, reaching 17.3% in just four days, and the overall correction in the ETH price relative to BTC was smaller.
