The Bank of Italy has developed a new licensing consensus agreement for the central bank's DLT system
The Bank of Italy is planning a lot of research on distributed ledger technology (DLT). In a report published today, the Bank of Italy shares a new permissioned consensus protocol that has been adapted to accommodate Bitcoin and is being open sourced. This is not the first time a permissioned version has been created for Bitcoin, but it adds a new detail that provides the confidentiality of the validator's identity. Its work aims to create a central bank's DLT system.
