Goldman Sachs CEO: The Federal Reserve may cut interest rates once or twice this year
David Solomon, chief executive of Goldman Sachs Group, said in an interview on Tuesday that the Fed could cut rates once or twice later this year, a departure from his prediction two months ago that there would be no rate cuts in 2024. "I'm still holding on to my expectation of zero rate cuts this year," Solomon said at a Boston College event two months ago. "I think we're ready for more severe inflation."
