Liminal Refutes Allegations That $230 million WazirX Hack Involved Infrastructure
Liminal, the crypto custodian service provider, has since rebutted allegations that its infrastructure was involved in the hack of WazirX, an Indian cryptocurrency exchange, which cost $230 million earlier this month. A Liminal spokesperson said its systems had not been compromised, leading to the recent loss of $230 million worth of WazirX's crypto assets. The multi-signature smart contract wallet used in the attack was allegedly "independently created and further imported into the Liminal platform". "As a wallet infrastructure support platform, we stress that this incident originated externally, underscoring the critical importance of comprehensive security measures across platforms," the spokesperson concluded.
