Mt. Gox: Trustees made bitcoin and bitcoin cash repayments through designated cryptocurrency exchanges on July 31
Mt. Gox issued a notice announcing that, following repayment on July 5, 16, and 24, 2024, on July 31, 2024, the trustee made repayment to some creditors in the form of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash through some of the designated cryptocurrency exchanges under the compensation plan, and has so far made repayment to more than 17,000 creditors.
Repayment will be made to other creditors as soon as the following conditions are met: (i) Confirmation of the validity of the registered account and other matters; (ii) Intention to accept the agreement to subscribe to a proxy receipt by the designated cryptocurrency exchange, etc.; (iii) Completion of discussions between the trustee and the designated cryptocurrency exchange, etc., regarding the repayment; and (iv) Confirmation that the repayment can be made safely and securely. Mt. Gox said it would ask eligible creditors to wait for a period of time.
