On August 2nd, Base announced the winning projects of the "Onchain Summer" global online hackathon. The event was held from May 31st to June 30th, attracting more than 7,500 developers from around the world to submit more than 1,250 projects. Base increased the prize pool from 200 ETH to 250 ETH due to the number of projects and ideas exceeding expectations. The winning projects cover a wide range of fields, including payments, commerce, gaming, creator tools, social platforms, transactions, and discovery. In addition, Base has set up a reward of 40 ETH for the successful integration of smart wallets, OnchainKit, validation, and Coinbase Paymaster, and an additional 20 ETH for hundreds of developers who did not win but submitted projects.
