Due to the cold non-farm data, a number of Wall Street investment banks adjusted the Federal Reserve's interest rate cut forecast, including:
Goldman Sachs: Increase the expectation that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates by 25 basis points this year to three times, and do not rule out a 50 basis point cut in September.
Citi: The Federal Reserve will cut interest rates by 50/50/25 basis points in September, November and December, compared with previous expectations of 25 basis points.
3. Bank of America: The Federal Reserve is expected to start cutting interest rates by 25 basis points in September, compared with previous expectations for December.
4. JPMorgan Chase: The Federal Reserve is expected to cut interest rates by 50 basis points each in September and November, and by 25 basis points at each meeting thereafter.
