OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told employees at an all-hands meeting Wednesday that the company is on track to generate $3.40 billion in annual revenue, according to people familiar with the matter. Altman said the vast majority of revenue, about $3.20 billion, comes from OpenAI's products and services. OpenAI is also expected to generate about $200 million in revenue from providing access to artificial intelligence models through Microsoft Azure. OpenAI's annualized revenue at the end of 2023 was $1.60 billion, according to previous news. In recent months, OpenAI has been working to boost revenue from its artificial intelligence products by selling services to enterprise customers.
