OpenAI employees issue open letter warning of risks of missing artificial intelligence regulation

13 current and former employees of the US Open Artificial Intelligence Research Center (OpenAI) and Google's "Deep Thinking" company issued a joint open letter on the 4th, expressing concern about the rapid development of the artificial intelligence industry in the absence of legal protection for "whistleblowers". According to a number of foreign media quoted the letter as reporting, these employees believe that artificial intelligence companies are driven by interests and lack of effective supervision, and the existing corporate governance structure is not enough to change this. And unregulated artificial intelligence will trigger multiple risks such as misinformation dissemination, artificial intelligence system loss of independence and deepening social hierarchy inequality.
