Ownera partners with fund manager Apex to distribute tokenized assets
Fund management company Apex has partnered with Ownera, which provides an interoperability solution for tokenized assets.
According to the presentation, Ownera created the FinP2P routing network, which itself does not use a blockchain. In many ways, this is like a hub, with different blockchains acting as spokes. Asset managers who want to provide access to ten blockchains can establish a single connection with Ownera.
Blockchains can be a mix of permissioned or non-permissioned blockchains, and FinP2P supports connectivity to Digital Asset's Canton, R3's Corda, Hyperledger Besu, Quorum, and more. FinP2P also provides connectivity to service providers such as custodians, asset service companies, and Apex's fund managers. As such, it will allow Apex to allocate and service assets on behalf of clients.
Peter Hughes, founder and chief executive of Apex, said the connectivity "will expand buyer demand and access for custodians and asset services companies".
