Australian MP: Blockchain technology could bring $60 billion to economy
Speaking at Australian Blockchain Week 2024 in Sydney, MP Andrew Charlton said Australia's productivity growth rate had reached a "fairly healthy" 2.1 per cent in the 21st century, but was not yet sufficient to sustain an improvement in basic living standards. Blockchain technology could generate $60 billion in revenue for the economy and reverse three decades of slow productivity growth.
Andrew Charlton says there can be no sustained increase in wages or living standards without productivity growth. He advocates for increased blockchain adoption in the country.
