Regulators delay decision on listing of US "counterfeit products" ETF by Hashdex
U.S. regulators say they need more time to decide whether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) designed as a one-stop shop for cryptocurrency portfolios can be listed on the Nasdaq Electronic Stock Exchange, according to an Aug. 9 regulatory filing in response to Nasdaq's June request for permission to list the Hashdex Nasdaq Cryptocurrency Index ETF on its electronic exchange.
If approved, the Hashdex Nasdaq Cryptocurrency Index ETF would be the first diversified spot cryptocurrency ETF in the US market. It would also be the first US ETF to hold alternative cryptocurrencies or "counterfeit products".
