The Nigerian government plans to tokenize real estate to increase revenue
The Lagos State Government in Nigeria has announced a real estate tokenization initiative to enhance the transparency, efficiency and ease of transfer of real estate transactions using blockchain technology. The tokenization initiative will last for 16 months and will be spearheaded by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with various agencies and partners. The agencies will support the initiative using the 500 million naira ($314,465) budget allocated by the state government.
