South Korean government officials accused of embezzling about $440,000 to buy cryptocurrency

The prosecutor's office has arrested and prosecuted him on charges of embezzlement and forgery of official documents. A spokesperson for the Cheongju District Prosecutors Office said they have seized property and assets, including apartments and vehicles, in an attempt to recover the funds. The prosecutors said they intend to fully file a case so that the defendants can be sentenced to penalties commensurate with their crimes.
