Exclusive: Hedge fund Jane Street cuts 83% of grey release GBTC in Q2, adds $220 million to BlackRock IBIT for the first time
On August 16th, according to hedge fund Jane Street's second quarter 13-F filing with the SEC, Jane Street generally increased its position in spot bitcoin ETFs in the second quarter. It held 8 spot BTC ETFs in the second quarter, with a total size of about 690 million US dollars, compared with its BTC ETF assets held in Q1 of about 634 million US dollars.
Among them, Jane Street Q2 reduced 83% of Grey Release GBTC, reducing the scale of about 100 million US dollars, and now holds assets of about 16.56 million US dollars; increased 142% of Invesco BTCO, now holds assets of about 12.54 million US dollars; increased 183% of Franklin EZBC, now holds assets of about 13.48 million US dollars. In addition, Jane Street increased its holdings of BlackRock IBIT for the first time, and now holds assets of about 220 million US dollars.
