Jupiter: Authentication icons will be displayed for all tokens that have been validated by the team or community
Jupiter co-founder Meow posted on the X platform that after receiving feedback from the community on how to display the certification, it is planned to display (a less "dangerous") FYI certification icon for all tokens that have been verified by the team or the community. There will no longer be exceptions for USDC and USDT. In addition, Mouseover Copy will be updated to better explain why certain tokens may need to freeze permissions. If there is a freezing power, the threshold for verification should be higher than when there is no freezing power. The relevant measures are fair to all tokens, not just incumbents or big-name projects, and need to be kept safe because the vast majority of scam tokens cannot be verified, while not counterproductive and scaring most users. It will also promote important education on how tokens work in the future.
Meow added that he did not expect the community to pay so much attention to the details. Even with some optimization and improvement, nothing can be perfect. He hoped that the relevant measures would be optimized to make the policy more clear and transparent, while improving the education of all users.
