io.net launched a staking program to earn block rewards by staking devices in the IO network
Solana Eco-DePIN Protocol io.net announced the launch of a staking program designed to enhance the security and performance of the Internet of GPUs (IOG) while providing community members with the opportunity to earn rewards for their contributions. By staking devices in the IO network, users can convert computing power into a revenue stream and allocate block rewards based on device performance. The program accommodates a wide range of devices from high-end GPUs to more modest setups.
The staking program allows users to contribute directly to the IO network, enhancing its resilience against threats and improving its ability to operate at scale, thus enhancing cyber security. To ensure transparency and fairness, safeguards such as a penalty policy that penalizes fraudulent activities are implemented by the io.net, thus maintaining the integrity of the network. Participants must pledge IO tokens corresponding to the functionality of their devices in order to be eligible for block rewards. The program also provides a 14-day de-staking period for users who wish to withdraw their tokens, during which time devices will not receive block rewards. After the program launches, there will be a 14-day grace period, after which the minimum staking requirements will take effect. These requirements will appear on the user's block reward nomination list shortly after the launch, and the specific block IDs executed will be announced separately.
Previously, on August 19, the DePIN protocol io.net open the pledge function.
