PayPal and Anchorage partner to launch PYUSD stablecoin rewards program
Payments giant PayPal and cryptocurrency custodian Anchorage Digital are teaming up to launch a stablecoin rewards program. The program will pay for the proceeds of PayPal USD (PYUSD) tokens held by crypto-native banks or Anchorage institutional self-custodial wallet Porto.
It is reported that the rewards program allows users to earn money from PYUSD balances without pledging, lending or re-pledging funds. The stablecoin will be completely segregated in their on-chain accounts, meaning Anchorage and PayPal will not lend customers' assets to earn returns to cover the program's fees.
