According to sources close to the investigation, the investigating judge in charge of the case has extended Durov's detention beyond Sunday night. This phase of initial detention can last up to 96 hours. When this phase of detention is over, the judge can decide to release him or continue the prosecution and extend the detention.
French investigators have issued an arrest warrant for Durov as part of an investigation into allegations involving fraud, drug dealing, organized crime, terrorist propaganda, and cyberbullying.
