The Nasdaq and S & P 500 both continued to hit record highs
The Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged for the seventh time in a row, and Powell said it was not yet time to announce the date of interest rate cuts. The three major U.S. stock indexes closed up or down differently. The Nasdaq index rose 1.53%, the S & P 500 index rose 0.85%, and the Dow index fell 0.09%. Among them, the Nasdaq index and the S & P 500 index both continued to hit record highs. Most of the large technology stocks rose, Tesla and Nvidia rose more than 3%, Apple rose more than 2%, and continued to hit a new high. At one point, they rose more than 6%, and the total market value exceeded Microsoft; Microsoft rose more than 1%, Netflix, Google, and Meta rose slightly; Amazon and Intel fell slightly.
