SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce: Could have helped improve clarity on Howey test, but not enough on his own
On August 29th, Forbes reporter Eleanor Terrett posted on the X platform that the US SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said she was partially responsible for the way the agency interpreted Howey's test on cryptocurrencies. Peirce said: "This is partly due to me. What I could have done differently is to help improve legal clarity... This is a warning to other regulators. I think the SEC and the industry as a whole have a lot of work to do."
