Report: Singapore tops global cryptocurrency adoption index, with Asian countries accounting for five of the top 10
On September 2, according to CryptoSlate, the "Henley Cryptocurrency Adoption Index 2024" report released by investment immigration consulting firm Henley & Partners on August 30, 2024 shows that Singapore ranks first in the global cryptocurrency adoption list with a score of 45.7 out of 60.
The report evaluated 28 countries, covering public adoption, infrastructure, innovative technologies, regulatory environments, economic factors, and tax friendliness. Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates ranked second and third, respectively, with a score of 42.1 and 41.8. Notably, Asian countries held five of the top 10 spots, with Malaysia and Thailand ranking eighth and tenth, respectively, in addition to Singapore and Hong Kong.
