Polygon Labs invests $5 million in Fabric VPU chips
Polygon Labs is the first protocol to invest $5 million in server systems based on Fabric Verifiable Processing Units (VPUs). Fabric's VPUs are next-generation crypto-native hardware optimized for Web3 and designed to accelerate all ZK-based Polygon-related protocols, including the ZK infrastructure of AggLayer, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon CDK.
Fabric plans to deliver Plonky2 and Polygon Plonky3 accelerated beta prototypes on VPUs within 6-12 months.
