Singapore Parliament to Discuss Worldcoi Account Abuse and Privacy Risks
Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Ngan Kim Yong expressed concerns in Parliament about the risks of Worldcoi's operations in Singapore, including the potential for money laundering through the sale of accounts.
He stressed that even though Worldcoi does not offer payment services under current law, buying and selling accounts could be illegal. The investigation is still ongoing and warned the public not to transfer accounts because of data privacy risks and criminal abuse.
