European Union Regulators Expect Stablecoin Standards to Be Published Before the End of the Year
A spokesperson for the European Banking Authority said standards governing how stablecoin issuers such as Tether and Circle operate in the European Union (EU) are likely to be formalized before the end of the year. They are included in 15 technical standards submitted by the EBA to the European Union's executive arm, the European Union Commission, which was jointly developed by the EBA and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).
